What can only be described as the ultimate irony, Google issued a manual penalty to Portent in 2014, ironic and somewhat suprising to Portent Chairman Ian Laurie who commented, "I'm actually laughing at the irony. We're so white hat we've been repeatedly fired because of poor link acquisition." Who better to handle a Google penalty than a top tier firm that was able to get rid of their own....quickly.
